The best place to get lobster and the blueberry pie was amazing!
Our second year at Acadia and our second visit to C-Rays. The food is some of the best we’ve had. The clam chowder is absolutely delicious- so creamy and full of clams, potatoes and corn. My husband had the lobster roll and swears it’s the best he’s ever had. I had the crab melt and just like last year, it was phenomenal. Ended with their homemade blueberry pie and ice cream. It’s what dreams are made of. Flaky crust with just enough filling and not too sweet. The restaurant down the road is always packed and we’ve been there too. It’s good but not nearly as good as C-Rays. On top of the delicious food, there was no wait. We sat outside with our dogs. Don’t pass this place up- you’ll be missing out!
One of the best places we had lobster. This place is quick with the service even though they were busy. The staff was very nice and catered to our needs. They had a nice warm seating area for dining in. The food tasted wonderful! That lobster tasted great! The blueberry pie was excellent! We would definitely come back here if we were in the area again!
Nothing fancy, just lobster. We pulled in and found a parking spot that had around 15 parking spots. You stand in line to order at the shack, choose from the large menus. You get a number, and they will bring your food out to you. There are lots of places to sit, picnic tables under cover, picnic tables outside, and chairs by the fire pit. We ordered the lobster for 1 with muscles and corn, naked lobster roll, crab roll, and blueberry pie. The boiled lobster is just straight boiled, no season. You do get butter. Ordered a side of tue chowder, rich flavor that had potatoes, corn, and big chunks of seafood. The crab roll was good. It had a lot of meat, but the mayo seemed a little too much. The naked lobster had nothing on it but had butter on the side with it. Each of the sandwiches had cape cod chips. We got blueberry pie to go, and it was so good. The taste was definitely blueberry, not too sweet, and the blueberries were so small.
Great food and reasonable prices. Save yourself the hassle of hunting down a parking space in Bar Harbor and eat here!!! Get the pie and the ice cream, you won't be disappointed!
My favorite lobster roll we had during our Acadia trip! We came here for lunch and there was plenty of parking and seating. You order at the stand and then find a table and they will bring the food out to you. They also have plenty of outdoor space and games like corn hole and frisbee! Now only the food! The lobster was fresh and piled high. The standouts were the roll they used, their bread is house made and perfectly buttered and toasted (versus the hot dog buns many other places make). I also loved the house mayo they tossed the lobster in, had a bit of tartness to it and the perfect complement. Plus the lemon slice given adds a nice bit of acidity and makes the freshness pop. We also enjoyed the clam chowder which was chocked full of goodies like veggies and seafood. I was glad we got it right away and were able to have our soup while we waited for our order. The blueberry pie was the perfect way to end the meal. It was perfectly not too sweet, only wished we got some ice cream to go with it! Overall, this was my favorite spot for lobster rolls & I hope to be back!
Great people! Really liked the crab roll. Lobster is fresh. Heated porch seating.
My wife and I have tried 7 different lobster roll restaurants throughout Maine from Kennebunk to Bar Harbor. C-Rays Lobster was hands down the best lobster roll we had. The staff was polite and professional and the grounds were inviting as well. Don't be fooled by the busy spots on the Highway, you will thank me later.
